This detailed investigation of the rainfall-runoff scenarios that could be expected with various levels of rainfall in time and space at a specific location with several medical facilities. This information was used to understand the level of risk at the sites from various levels of rainfall and flooding. This information was used to determine the risk at the sites and the amount of insurance coverage that would be needed. The detail provided in this analysis was more accurate than the publicly available information from FEMA and other flood information from private companies because this analysis combined AWA’s extremely accurate rainfall reconstruction in time, space, and magnitude and was applied in detailed, site-specific hydrologic modeling interfaces.
