Climate Change and Sea Level Assessments for West Kalimantan, Borneo-Indonesia.

Project Scope

Climate change projections from CMIP6 outputs were analyzed for all available regionally downscaled models to evaluate sea level change and synoptic patterns that result in large waves in the region affecting western Borneo.  This was part of a larger collaborative effort supported by the International Atomic Energy Agency.  The goal of the project was to provide examples of how to complete this process and develop documentation that would allow members countries to perform similar analyses for their home country locations.

AWA was one of the subject matter efforts and acted as a mentor to the member countries in supporting their efforts and developing the guidance documents.
